The family spans three series. Nytro 1000 SATA SSDs deliver cost-effective, plug-and-play flash for read-intensive workloads and legacy environments. Nytro 4000 brings PCIe Gen4 NVMe performance to a compact M.2 2280 form factor. Nytro 5000 is the high-performance line, reaching PCIe Gen5 speeds and 30.72TB capacities.
Across the family you get power-loss data protection, enterprise endurance ratings from 1 to 3 DWPD, MTBF ratings up to 2.5M hours, optional self-encrypting (SED) models supporting the TCG standard, and a 5-year limited warranty.
Every Nytro drive is operating system friendly, integrating easily with Linux and Microsoft, and the NVMe models offer effortless serviceability with no downtime requirements and hot-swap capability for easy SSD addition, removal or replacement.
Pick the series by interface and workload; pick the model by capacity and endurance.
Cost-effective SATA 6Gb/s SSD storage for data centers. Plug-and-play for legacy environments, enterprise-grade endurance for read-intensive workloads, with power-loss data protection and low cost per GB. Nytro 1361 and Nytro 1370.

Interface, endurance, capacity and procurement answers for the Nytro enterprise SSD family.
Nytro is Seagate’s enterprise solid state drive family, engineered for efficiency, high performance and increased storage density in data centers. Nytro SSDs eliminate performance bottlenecks and significantly improve quality of service (QoS). The family spans SATA (Nytro 1000), M.2 NVMe (Nytro 4000) and high-performance NVMe (Nytro 5000) series.
The Nytro 5060. Its PCIe Gen5 NVMe interface doubles the throughput and IOPS of the previous generation, delivering blistering 14.9GB/s bandwidth and up to 3.3M IOPS — removing data bottlenecks and providing consistent response times for high-performance applications.
DWPD is drive writes per day — how much data you can write to the whole drive daily across its warranty life. Choose a 1 DWPD drive (Nytro 1361, 4350, 5350) for read-intensive workloads, and a 3 DWPD drive (Nytro 5550) for mixed workloads with heavier writes. The Nytro 5060 is available in both 1 and 3 DWPD variants.
The Nytro 4350 PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD provides 10× the bandwidth of SATA SSDs. The Nytro 5000 series delivers quintupled performance over SATA SSDs with 10× more bandwidth and IOPS over previous generations, getting more computing using minimal space, energy and cost.
The Nytro 5060 reaches up to 30.72TB in a 2.5-inch form factor and up to 15.36TB in an E3.S form factor. On PCIe Gen4, the Nytro 5350 reaches 15TB and the Nytro 5550 reaches 12.8TB; on SATA, the Nytro 1370 reaches 15TB.
Yes. Power-loss data protection is included across the family, using capacitors to provide enough power to complete pending write operations and safely store data in non-volatile memory, preserving data integrity in power-loss scenarios.
Yes. Hardware-based encryption Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) models support the TCG standard to help keep valuable data secure; the Nytro 1361 offers TCG Opal SED models. Self-Encrypting Drives are not available in all models or countries and may require TCG-compliant host or controller support.
Yes, on the NVMe models. The Nytro 5060 offers dual-port models (5060H) designed for high availability or single-port models (5060S), and the Nytro 5350 has the choice between dual or single interface. Dual ports support active-active high availability.
Nytro SSDs are operating system friendly, easily integrating with Linux and Microsoft® Windows®. The Nytro 5060 also carries OCP NVMe SSD 2.0 support for efficient and scalable deployment in data centers.
